The 100 Proof Press It Out! contest ended on June 30th, and I am now sharing the winners with you. This lovely piece of stamp art is by Kathrine Campono.  She used some very sweet images to create this playful piece.  Thank you for your entry, Katherine.  I will sharing the other entries, so stay tuned.

A few new images. . .

I just uploaded a handful of new images onto the website.  There's no theme to them, just a small fun batch of new stamps.  There's a sketch of some sort of a hand contraption, I think that is my favorite. Hop on over to the shop and go to the "new stamps" section to check them out.  Witch one do you like best?

After Stampaway XIX

Well,"the way of life" this week has been all about catching up after our exciting trip to Stampaway XIX.  We traveled down to the Cincinnati area this past weekend for a pretty big stamp show.  We had fun showing off our Flower Power and our new images.

This is a fun little piece a happy customer shared with us at the show.  She used our finger pointing hand stamp - it meshed quite nicely with the Stampaway logo for 2011.  We already excited about going to the show next year!  Thanks to all who stopped by to see us.

New images available....

We are busy getting ready for our show in August, vulcanizing new images, counting inventory, and stuff like that.  I also found some time to list a few new images on our website.  If you click on the "new stamps" section you will find a handful of new stamps.  I made some Halloween stamps, and some others that are quite cute.  Stop by and check them out.

Hot hot, so hot!

I hope everyone is keeping cool - and taking a break in the AC to stamp up some art.  Right now in the shop we are getting ready for another show! This show will be in mid August in Cincinnati, OHIO.  We have lots of tubs of rubber to fill before we pack up.  And have to make some new envelopes because a new images are going with us!   Here's a fun little summer time card from one of our design team members, Jennifer.  She used the 100 Proof Press crab 4606.

Hand-Stamped Knobs

I recently had a customer share her work and Etsy site with me.  I love to see how artists use 100 Proof Press stamps.  These knobs are a great way to show your creative side with a piece of everyday furniture.

Yeah! The New Images are Up.

I am very excited to announce that the first batch of images that I made start to finish are up on the site!  There is just a handful, but they are summery and fun.  If you go to the shop on the site, you can find the new images on the first few pages.

I would also like to let you know, that the 100 Proof Press "PRESS IT OUT" contest entries are due in at the end of this month.  If you have a stamped-up creation that you've used 100 Proof Press images in, get it in the mail! I have some very exciting entries so far and I would love to see more.  Stamp it up and send it in!

Summertime Images!

I have been working on new images for quite sometime now, waiting for a window of time where I can carry out the whole process editing images,  plating, making mats, running rubber, testing and indexing the new images, and then getting them ready for the web.  I am almost there on this group of summertime images.  I have a few more things to do and then they'll be ready, all of these passed the cut.

The final member of our first ever design team...

I would now like to introduce the fifth member of 100 Proof Press's first ever design team, and that is artsy-crafty merchant, Alexa Lett.  I'm very happy to have Alexa as part of our creative team.  Her work is very organic, and as I was packing up her first set of stamps, I was very curious  as to how she was going to turn them into clever pieces of art.  Looks like it all came together as a mixed-media collage.

Here comes the fourth member of the Design Team...

Gladys Chia, is the fourth member of the 100 Proof Press design team.  Her work is completed with great attention to detail.  If you visit her blog, mypapercrafting,  you will find more pieces from her that will bring a smile to your face.  Her cards are very playful and happy.  And here is the first piece she created for 100 Proof Press, using none other than... "The Handsome Hares."

The next member of the team I am going to introduce is Gerri Herbst.  Gerri's work is has a touch of nostalgia,  hint of romantic vintage, lots of sparkle, and limitless creativity.  I'm very happy that Gerri is a part of the team and I'm excited to see what stories she tells with 100 Proof Press images.  You should stop by her blog to find what creative treasure  Gerri has created today.  Here is her first piece as a part of the Design Team.

Gerri used the "long tower row" stamp.  Isn't is wonderful how she made a 3-d piece, used buttons, and watercolors to create this piece.  I hear cityscapes are on the rise...

Presenting the next member of our Design Team. . .

The next artist I need to introduce is Tracy Evans.  I have been inspired by her work from The Stamper's Sampler, and I am very excited to have her artistic talent combined with 100 Proof Press images.    I am sure you're going to want to visit her blog to see other stamp-art that Tracy has created.   Here is her first piece for our design team.  I think she had this card in the works before she even received the rubber!

Grow Where you Are Planted

In this piece, Tracy has used only one image to create a layered affect.  The card is beautifully completed with embellishments to add even more dimension.  She also made a co-ordinating gift bag to go with the card.  I can't wait to see share what Tracy stamps up next.

It's time I introduce one of the members of the first ever 100 Proof Press Design Team.

We got the big, I mean big, order out the door.  It was crazy stamp-making time around 100 Proof Press the past 12 days.  But now we're back to our "regular" way of life.  And I have been wanting to do this post for about week - I am so excited to introduce  the first member of 100 Proof Press's design team! Many of you are familiar with her energetic work, and she might even be how you found our blog. . . Now presenting, Jennifer Ingle and her Thimble Fairy!

Big Rubber Stamp Order and Exciting News

We are in the middle of working on a very large order.  Tons of stamps: chickens, guitars, chairs, unicorns, the list goes on and on.  And  I am thrilled to be able to announce that very soon  you'll be able to get a steady stream of inspiration from five talented artists.  I look forward to introducing them to you - so stay tuned.

The 100 Proof Press Poppy Diagram Stamp

There were nine beautiful entries for the poppy stamp design contest, and I am so glad it went to a vote because it would have been way too difficult for me to choose a winner by myself.  The winner of the  design contest is Kristy Small of Sinister Soaps.  She stamped the poppy stamp in black on a white label and used it on her Black Opium Tea Soap.   I thank everyone who participated, in creating art with the stamp, as well as those to who voted.  It made the first design contest a success!

Getting a Design Team Together

I've been wanting to start a design team for sometime now,  and it's finally going to happen.  I have found some wonderful artists who have agreed to join together their artistic forces for the very first 100 Proof Press design team!  I am very excited to get this going.  It's going to be fun, and I hope you follow a long to see what the team does with our images.

We got the entries in for our first design contest.  The artists were to use this poppy image in any way with  any medium.  The entries are wonderful, imaginative and diverse.  And now it's time to vote on which artist will be awarded the 30 dollar 100 Proof Press gift certificate.  So, visit  The Handmade Gift Guide, to see the entries and cast your vote.

Show Trays

The shop is buzzing with activity.  All we can think about is getting the display trays filled up with finished stamps.  We have 20 trays to pack with  hundreds of stamps before our first show.  We are getting there.
